  • A Guide Through the Jungle of Flavor!

    Date: 2010.07.30 | Category: HookaH-HookaH, Tobacco | Response: 1

    Flavor Book Go!

Have you ever looked up at the wall of flavors offered at HookaHHookaH.com and felt like it’s just too much to comprehend all at once?  Well, we’ve decided to put up an entire flavor book to help you make a decision on your way through the HookaH-HookaH Journey!

It’s very simple.  The Flavor Book lists every flavor, shows off an image of the flavor, and gives a written description to help you decide if it would be fitting for your palate.  For example let’s take a look at the new flavor, Dragon Fruit. A lot of people have never heard of a Dragon Fruit, don’t even know if it really exists, or what it would taste like if it does!

    Dragon Fruit

Here you have the logo, a delicious looking picture of an actual Dragon Fruit, and an excellent description to help you decide if it’s what you’re looking for out of a shisha.  One other grand function of the flavor guide is this:  You can go through and decide whether or not the flavors you’re looking to utilize in a ‘customize your shisha’ order will go well with each other!

Not only that, but real customers have started adding their own video reviews to flavors, giving you an even better (and unbiased!) idea of what flavors you’ll enjoy the most.  You might even find some tips and tricks in there to help you get the perfect hookah session going!

So, if you’re looking to get into HookaH-HookaH, but the Jungle is looking a little bit scary… have no fear…  Your official Guide is here!   Take a second and give it a chance to help you out!

  • HookaHHookaH.com Gets a Revamped Front Page!

    Date: 2010.07.23 | Category: Uncategorized | Response: 1

If you’ve been to HookaHHookaH.com lately you’ve probably noticed a few major changes going on with the front page of the site! The new, improved, and cleaner layout is to help give you the most efficient way to get to everything – saving you a ton of time while letting you know exactly what specials deals are being run at the very top!

First things first, the weekly special is at the very top of the page, letting you know exactly what extra goodies you’ll be receiving with your order.

Right after that is a big image that announces either upcoming products or the ongoing special that is run 2 weeks out of every month.

Next, you have the handy little HookaH-HookaH tobacco intro that lets you know what you’re getting into.

If you continue on down the page (oo lala!) you’ll find a series of 4 colored images, kind of like that game ‘Simon’ that used to frustrate you as a youngster.  HookaHHookaH.com was one of the first websites to offer customers the ability to customize their hookahs, and later, their shisha, and you’ll find both of those buttons here.  Next to that you’ll find the link to this blog (Yay, we’re important!) and a link to the very extensive hookah bar and lounge list that HookaH-HookaH has put together.

Right below the Simon section there are two small promotional images that change every so often.  My best guess is that someone at HookaH-HookaH gets bored and changes them at inopportune times just to mess with people.  Regardless, they’re nice!

There you have it – the buffed up, revamped homepage is ready to go!  Drop us a line and let us know how you like the new format!

  • Who’s Got the Herbal?

Date: 2010.07.16 | Category: Evolution Tea Shisha | Response: 1

There’s a mini-battle raging behind the line-up of your tobacco-based shishas… a small scale fight between the herbal alternatives on the market. However, if you’re a hookah smoker that is trying to cut down on your nicotine intake, you might find some of the information here a bit interesting. The three herbals we’re discussing today are Saalaam Herbal Shisha, Hydro Herbal Shisha, and Evolution Tea Shisha.

    Saalaam Herbal Shisha
is Egypt’s flagship non-tobacco smoke – and it’s been gaining popularity steadily in the US since 2008. Saalaam is available in 18 flavors, some of them are quite complex and have gained notable reviews such as their Chai Tea and their Tiramisu flavors. Saalaam is known for its shredded, toothpick-like texture and solid flavoring. The shredded base is known as bagasse, which is the fibrous byproduct remaining after crushing sugarcane to extract its juice.

Next, we have Hydro Herbal Shisha – one of the more modern competitors on the market. Hydro is made in a fashion similar to Fantasia, it’s dyed and sticky, but not very juicy. It’s available in 20 flavors, many of which are named after an illegal substance yet taste like regular shishas i.e., Black Widow is a Blackberry flavor. Overall, reviewers seem to enjoy Hydro’s Green Ice flavor the most. Despite the promise on Hydro’s website that it’s made with, “An array of organic herbs secretly hidden for centuries across the Eastern seas […]” it has the same base texture as Saalaam, which means it’s probably also a bagasse/sugarcane herbal shisha.

Finally, we have Evolution Tea Shisha. Since its release in 2009 it has garnered a wealth of positive feedback. The shisha itself is made from tea leaves, which is proudly announced on the packaging. Reviewers point out that Evolution creates impressive clouds that stand on par with the top shishas, and that at the beginning of the smoking session you can’t tell you’re smoking tea. The only downfall of this tobacco emulator is that some people don’t enjoy the roasting tea taste that becomes evident the longer that the session lasts. However, many of the flavors are made to emphasize the tea taste, which is probably why Lemonade is the highest rated out of the 20 flavors of Evolution. If you’re not a big tea fan, Evolution is probably not for you.

While smoking will never be good for you, you can remove the nicotine intake with an herbal alternative, ensuring you that you’re not getting anything except for delicious smoke.
